Krzysztof Zanussi

Presidente onorario del Festival. Tra i più grandi maestri del cinema polacco, è nato a Varsavia nel 1939, ha studiato fisica e filosofia per poi iscriversi alla scuola di cinema di Lodz. Ha debuttato nel 1969 e ha vinto il Leone d’oro alla Mostra del cinema di Venezia nel 1984 con L’anno del sole quieto. Nel 2006 ha ricevuto il Premio alla carriera al Terni Film Festival, nel 2009 il premio del pubblico per Le voci interiori e dal 2011 ne è Presidente onorario. Ha contribuito ai rapporti internazionali della kermesse facendosi promotore di una rete di festival cinematografici interreligiosi europei. Nel 2018 ha presentato il suo ultimo film Etero, nel 2019 ha presentato: La struttura del cristallo.

Honorary President of the Festival. One of the greatest masters of the Polish cinema, he was born in Warsaw in 1939, studied physics and philosophy before enrolling at the Lodz Film School. He made his debut in 1969 and won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 1984 with The Year of the Quiet Sun. In 2006 he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at Terni Film Festival; in 2009 he received the Audience Award for Inner Voice. Since 2011, he has been the Honorary President of the Festival. He contributed to the international relations of the event by promoting a network of European interreligious film festivals. In 2018 we presented his film Ether and in 2019, The Structure of Crystal.
